Vermont Maple is all the rage and our top state crop is EVERYWHERE! And PS, it's not just for breakfast anymore! Here's our intro collection of a few unusual variations on the maple theme, products we love but wouldn't necessarily put on pancakes. Feel free to experiment with them-they'll open your eyes to a whole new side of Maple!
Wood's Pure Maple Syrup-Bourbon, 8 oz, Randolph, VT
Aged in Bourbon barrels, this syrup is smoky and provocative, great for use in a Manhattan, or as a glaze for your fresh local meats.
Sugar Bob's Finest Kind-Smoked Maple Syrup, 2 oz, Londonderry, VT
Made by bubbling hardwood smoke through syrup, this is an amazing elixir. Combine with soy sauce and lime juice as a glaze for salmon; add instead of bitters to a cocktail, or simply mix with ketchup for a simple, fantastic barbecue sauce!
Vermont Maple Sriracha, 8 oz, Pittsford, VT
Our new favorite for virtually anything! Fresh Fresno peppers, garlic and Vermont maple make this small batch hot sauce irresistible for any dish that needs some heat. Heat and sweet can't be beat.
Vermont Maple Walnut Peanut Butter, 16oz, Morrisville, VT
This renders all other peanut butters irrelevant if I can be so bold. I think you will be secretly spooning this stuff out during your midnight snacks.
Bureau's Maple Kettle Corn, Old Lyme CT:
One of our best-selling snacks in the whole store! A staff and customer favorite.
Quaker Hill Granola-Maple Cashew (Randolph, 20 miles)
Nancy Tucker has been producing her incredible granola since 1990. She's a one-woman show, doing everything from making the granola to bagging and delivering it, all while working part time in at least 2 other jobs, which makes her a true Vermonter!
