Clarke Brother's Maple Rosemary Grille Sauce

A former staffer turned us onto this marinade only because she was so darn persistent. "Have you tried this new great sauce.you know we should carry it", she'd say. Every week I'd be greeted with, "Have we got it in yet? It's really good." I think I deliberately avoided ordering it because of my famous stubborn streak, and it seemed like it was the only thing she ate for dinner.

In my defense, you have to understand that we are Summer Marinade Headquarters. We sell of ton of sauces and finding room for another was going to be difficult. But she was not to be denied. She ended up getting in a sample, forced me to try it and I'll admit.I was dead wrong.it was FANTASTIC! I should have listened sooner as this stuff absolutely rocks and we now sell cases upon cases of it every summer.

The secret is the combination of rosemary and maple, plus soy sauce, molasses and a delayed hit of black pepper-an intriguing marriage which is delicious smothered over chicken, pork loin, or shoulder. It's got a thick texture, making it ideal to mop on meat toward the end of cooking, and for dolloping on your plate to drag each forkful through on its way to your mouth!
