Cottage Hill Farms Old Fashioned Fudge Cake

Fudge Cake Mix: You won't believe this, but it's fool-proof. You just add eggs, oil and hot water, mix and bake. It's good enough that it doesn't need icing. And it's probably one of the best cakes I've ever had out of a box. Really.

There are a ton of baking mixes in the world, each with their relative merits, so you know a line has got to be pretty good if we want to feature it on our own little website. We'd love to introduce you to Cottage Hill Farm, and La Verne Lesznik, of Pittsford, Vermont. La Verne makes her mixes with only certified organic ingredients, and they are pretty much the best we've ever tried.
