Crawford Family Farm Vermont Ayr Farmstead Cheese

Made exclusively from the raw milk of the Crawford family's Ayrshire cows, this is a new favorite for us. It is a natural rind alpine-style cheese with a flavor like buttery roasted nuts. Ayrshire milk has tiny butterfat globules, which lend the cheese a smooth and creamy consistency and sweet taste. Ayrshire cattle are a Scottish breed, and make up only three percent of all cows in this country, making them rather rare. The Crawford family adore their cows and have a picture and personality profile of several of them on their website, in case you want to know them better. They are very beautiful. Seeing them makes me love their cheese even more!

All of our Cheese must reach its destination within 3 business days. Please check out the UPS Shipping Map on our Customer Service Page. If the arrival destination is in Florida or west of the Mississippi (maroon,orange and grey states on the shipping map) you will need to select the UPS 3 Day Shipping option at checkout. If you forget, don't worry - we will take care of it for you. We will e-mail you confirmation. It will show up as a separate transaction on your credit card.

We only ship perishables Monday through Wednesday to ensure arrival before the weekend. We want your food to stay in great shape! Perishables hate hanging out in a warehouse over the weekend.
