On-line and in store Shipping Information
We will not ship cheese between May 15 and September 15 due to the major expense to keep cheese cool during shipments.
The map below shows typical UPS Ground "transit" times to various parts of the country (not guaranteed times). A note to our New England shoppers: For overnight delivery, please choose regular UPS Ground; typically, UPS Ground ships throughout New England in 1-2 business days.
It is our mission to serve you the freshest possible products. Shipping cheese is challenging. All of our cheese boxes must reach their destination in 3 days or less. Please check out the UPS Shipping Map above. If the arrival destination is in Florida or west of the Mississippi (maroon, orange and grey states on the map above) you will need to select the UPS 3 Day Shipping option at checkout. If you forget, don't worry - we will take care of it for you. We will add the additional $10 3-day shipping up charge and e-mail you confirmation. It will show up as a separate transaction on your credit card.
Note: We only ship perishables Monday through Wednesday to ensure arrival before the weekend. We want your food to stay in great shape! Cheese hates hanging out in a warehouse over the weekend.
In Store Shipping
We absolutely ship grocery items from our store! There is a $10 assembly fee for that service. If there is cheese involved which requires special handling, additional fees may be added. This will be added onto the shipping and cost of the items at checkout at our register. If you are phoning in a grocery order, we will add our assembly fee and any other additional packing fees onto your credit card at the time of purchase.
Other Useful On-Line Shopping Details
Placing Orders: Orders may be placed 24 hours a day, seven days a week via our secure web site. Telephone orders can be placed Tuesday-Friday 9am-5pm (eastern time). Promotion Codes: We frequently offer online promo codes to our customers in Market flyers, Tweets, online newsletters, our Blog or Facebook updates. Only one promo code may be used per order.
Processing: We receive and process orders within 24 to 48 hours. Orders are shipped Monday through Friday via UPS. Please note that some orders placed on Thursdays and Fridays will not ship until the following Monday (especially perishables). When choosing expedited shipping or placing a very large order, please keep in mind it may take up to 48 hours to process. If you need your order on a specific date, please include your request in the gift notes section at checkout. We are happy to include a hand written gift card if requested, with no additional charge.

Recycled Packaging: We hate packing peanuts and those puffy air packets, but we get loads of them when products are shipped to us. So rather than buy more and encourage the styrofoam industry, we recycle them and other packing materials when we send your order to you. Please consider passing them on to someone else when you unpack your box so that they don't end up in a landfill somewhere (local Pack-and-Ship places sometimes take them).
Payment Options: Woodstock Farmers' Market accepts the following credit cards on orders placed on our web site: MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover. Cash, checks or money orders are not accepted. Prices in our store do not reflect the cost of delivery. We do not ship C.O.D. Sales taxes will automatically be added to any applicable purchases.

Return Policy: If the item you order arrives damaged or spoiled, we will gladly replace it. However, due to the nature of perishable products, we are unable to assume the loss incurred by delays due to an incorrect shipping address; the recipient's absence for more than a day after delivery; or incorrect handling on the part of the recipient. Packages are clearly marked "perishable" on the outside to avoid nasty surprises.
Out of Stock Items, Weather, Price Changes and Other Unpleasant Facts of Life: We try to keep all items in stock at all times, but due to the nature of perishables, sometimes we may be temporarily out of a product. We will make suitable substitutions of equal or greater value when we can, or will be happy to send the item later when it becomes available. In either case, we will contact you and ask for your preference. When a product costs us more than it did before, we try to absorb the difference if we can. But due to the vagaries of ingredient, packaging and shipping costs, we will sometimes find it necessary to raise prices before we get a chance to update our site. Sorry about that. We'll do our best to keep you informed when the price change is significant. We try to cut cheese with laser-like accuracy, but if you've ever tried to cut something to an exact weight you know that you're likely to be off by a few hundredths of a pound. Us too. We will be as close as we can, and won't charge you for the difference. Because we love our products so much, we want the best for them on their journey to you, and want them to arrive in optimum condition. Therefore we may delay shipping some items during the hottest months (cheese and chocolate, coffee, olive oil and some other items suffer greatly when they get too warm). If we can we will package them with gel packs and rush them to you, but the cost of packaging and shipping increases when we do this. So if we're concerned about sending something out, we'll call you and discuss it first.
Gift Certificates: Gift certificates purchased online are shipped via USPS and are only redeemable at the Woodstock Farmers' Market in Woodstock, Vermont (not online). Gift certificates can also be purchased in our Woodstock Market during normal store hours.
