Top Three Staff Recommended EV00's

What a treat! All 3 extra virgin olive oils are organic and all three are different. L’Estornell, a Spanish olive oil, is one of the first truly organic EVOO’s produced in the world. It’s buttery, with lots of sweet fruit and citrus overtones. It’s easily our most popular extra virgin olive oil and we’ve been carrying it for many, many years. Nunez de Prado, also a perennial Market favorite is a big, complex oil—one of Amelia’s favorites. It’s a “two cougher” (we like to label olive oils with some kick to them in terms of how they tickle the back of your throat), with a nice peppery finish. It’s from Spain too. And Les Moulins Mahjoub, produced on a family farm in Tunisia, is a delicate, full bodied, clean and balanced organic extra virgin olive oil and it’s my run-away favorite of all-time.

Each of these organic olive oils is very versatile in all facets of your kitchen, but I find them best suited for bread dipping and drizzling over fresh salad greens. While we’ve chosen only oils from the Mediterranean, they are 3 of the finest, handcrafted EVOO’s made today. And they make a great gift for the serious olive oil lover. All three come nicely packaged with brief tasting notes and information about the producers.
