We started selling these incredible cookies over Christmas and Valentines and now we’re hooked. These works of art are simply jaw dropping. The art work on these is so detailed you really will feel a tinge of guilt eating them. Talk about an artisan product! The cookie is large--about 4 inches in diameter and the lady bug sits attached right on top of the flower!

Vera Lashway—the maker of these fine gingerbread—is from the Czech Republic and operates Breni Bakery in Rutland with her husband Don. And PS my mother (who still works here at the Market) is Czech (which makes me Czech!) and every time Vera stops by with her cookies, they babble away in Czech. Pretty cool.
