Judy's Vermont Cranberry Very Berry Rum Relish
Judy, who lives right over in the next town west of Woodstock, invented this jammy condiment and had such great response she made the recipe into a business. Different from any other cranberry relish we've tried, it reminds some of mincemeat in its spicing and flavor intensity. Delicious with roast birds (turkey, duck and goose, especially), pork and ham, and also pancakes, waffles, ice cream or cheesecake. Or what the heck—pour it into a pie crust and bake!
Judy does live sampling with us several times a year, and the last time she was here we sold 42 jars in just over 3 hours. Being a quiet and modest person, she doesn't exactly go for the throat when talking to customers sampling her wares, so I suppose it would be more accurate to say the product sold itself! Unlike any other cranberry relish you've tried. Great year round.
