Pure Vermont Maple Syrup
Plastic jugs with an old fashioned sugaring scene embossed on the side are available in Fancy, Grade A Medium Amber and Grade A Dark Amber.
We have been selling Ned Mackseud's Maplecrest Farm Maple Syrup for years--made right down the road at Maplecrest. We're one of Ned's only accounts and we go through so much of his syrup, you'd think folks were using it in place of home heating oil!
Small batch, carefully boiled and packaged, this maple syrup is not from some large company that stores the syrup for years in large vats. Ned carefully produces what he needs most years and thus ensures us fresh, local syrup all year long.
Note: the weight of the half gallons and gallons are significant and will require an extra 3 dollar upcharge in shipping which you will see at checkout.

Maple Grades
In Vermont, maple syrup comes in four different consumer grades; to simplify, its color and strength of maple flavor varies. The grading of syrup is strictly enforced insuring quality throughout the state.
Fancy- Pale amber in color with a delicate mild maple flavor, fancy syrup is excellent on ice cream or accompanying foods that allow the delicate taste to be appreciated. The yield of fancy syrup is typically from the first sap runs—more sugary and a more delicate maple flavor. I tell folks that are looking for something different, this is it. You won't find fancy outside the state of Vermont.
Grade A medium amber- Characteristic maple flavor, pronounced maple bouquet and medium amber color, make this the perfect pancake syrup and for all around use.
Grade A dark amber- Dark amber color and a robust flavor make this a very popular choice for the table and all around uses.
Grade B- The strongest and darkest table grade syrup, its strong maple flavor makes it perfect for cooking. Here at the Market we make our Blueberry Maple pies with Grade B syrup.
