Shootflying Hill Salty Butterscotch Sauce

If you love caramel, you will swoon for Shootflying Hill's Salty Butterscotch Sauce. Made with heavy cream, unsalted butter, brown and turbinado sugars and fleur de sel, it is both sweet and salty, and very, very rich! But thanks to the salt it doesn't leave that awful tooth-achingly sweet taste and sensation in your mouth. Instead, you can eat a whole lot at one sitting. So I hear. I wouldn't actually know this.

Named for the road in Centerville , MA that founder Cory Clarke's family drove every summer to get to their favorite ice cream shop, Shootflying Hill Sauce Company makes all their dessert sauces by hand, in small batches. Great on ice cream, of course, but try it on hot apple pie, spread between cake layers, or warmed and served with sweet apple, pear, and banana slices for dipping!
