Three acre Kitchen Balsamic Marinade and Blueberry Balsamic Glaze
Nancy from Three Acre Farm—formerly Nancy’s Balsamic—came up with this new concoction for this year and both are winners. (Of course anything she does is outstanding.) The marinade is very full flavored but overall very mellow—with a base of balsamic, a bit of tamari, mustard seed, rosemary and juniper. These great ingredients make it incredibly versatile for all meats—including lamb. But it’s even better on grilled or baked veggies on the grill or in the oven. I used to use the Three Acre Balsamic Vinaigrette as a marinade all the time—this is even better.
The Blueberry Balsamic Glaze is a great finishing touch. I’ll drizzle the Glaze over chicken, lamb, pork and veggies post grill. I also apply a bit at the very end while still on the grill. It’s sweet but not obnoxious—it compliments your meal’s flavor; it doesn’t cover it up like some BBQ sauces or heavy marinades.
The Blueberry Glaze—as with all of Nancy’s products—is also very versatile. Use it as an addition to pan sauces, on top of ice cream or fresh berries or try this—mix the two for an amazing salad dressing (use sparingly—it’s strong) that is a bit of a twist from the original vinaigrette.
