Vicky Day’s Preserves - Raspberry Black Currant

These outstanding local preserves come from an amazing farm in Springfield, Vermont—just down the road from Woodstock. Cherry Hill Farm grows all their own fruit for their incredible preserves—and they’ve been doing it for years. They specialize in currants and raspberries. Moreover, they’ve been producing fruit for local food manufacturers like Vermont Mystic Pies and Walpole Creamery (fantastic local ice cream) for years.

Low in pectin and full flavored, it’s like jam you make at home. Their black currant-raspberry preserves are quite amazing. The currants provide the power and attitude, yet the raspberry is in equal control and it drives the pair with just the right balance.  Black currants have a mellow body and spiciness that is quite unique! Honestly, this ranks right up there with some of the finest preserves I’ve ever tasted.
