There are two foods that I would want with me on a desert island: chocolate and peanuts. Not together mind you. I have rules. Though fussy about chocolate, I am even more so about nuts.

Peanuts are everywhere, cooked all kinds of ways. I love to go to Fenway and watch the Sox play, drink beer, eat peanuts and yell at the umpire (or Manny). Crack the shells, throw them on the floor in front of you. The peanuts seem so good. As long as the Sox are winning.

And then there's Williamsburg. These guys are in another league. And sure, there are many high-end peanut companies out there making great peanuts. But we've sampled and sampled over the years and still come back to Williamsburg. Why? They just have the right balance of everything—salt, oil, crunchiness and most importantly taste. They have the right roast, which brings out the sweet flavor of the nut, and the right texture, which makes you go back for another handful.
